MOUSETRAP CAR PROJECT
The mousetrap car project is the biggest assignment of the semester. It will be represented in the Application of Knowledge, Leadership Skills, College Work Habits, and Metacognition categories of the student's grade. The culminating assignment will be a lab report, due Oct. 14 (for all classes) but there will be various benchmarks and checkpoints along the way. One of these benchmarks is the Project Portfolio which will be checked at least every week. The portfolio may be in a folder, binder or notebook and must contain all handouts and worksheets pertaining to the project as well as a space for daily reflections which will be written every day of the assignment.
Attached to this post are the assignment sheet for the project which includes all benchmark dates and an outline of the lab report. Also included is the handout "How to build a Mousetrap Car" written by Mr. Rea.
The cars must be built and ready for testing by Monday/Tuesday September 28/29.
